  Very interesting at Cardero's. Had a reservation for 645 for which we were 10 minutes late, called ahead to let them know and we were advised the table would be forfeited if we weren't there within 15 minutes of the reservation time. Made it in time but thought it weird they'd enforce a table cutoff after a phone in letting them know we were a bit behind. From there just felt like the whole experience was kind off of, the pricing had me expecting a fine dining experience but the restaurant was loud and service very casual. Overall it wasn't a bad experience. Food and experience didn't match places like the Keg or Joe Fortes (similar price points) so general take away is that the price is for the location. Will likely return with guests from out of town but unlikely to ever visit casually.

  Came in with no expectation of food and service, but high expectations of view and ambiance. Food completely met my high bar. Ordered an off-the-menu 'land and sea', combining the filet with a side of prawns. It was really perfect. The view and place is just as expected: fun and relaxed with a great view. Kudos!
