  Maria the Head Cashier was very rude. No customer service skills at all - just scanned my items, took my money without even glancing up. I will shop at No Frills from now on - they are friendlier!

  MARKETPLACE IGA IS A RIP-OFF. Everything is very overpriced. Expect to wait and wait in line wasting time as well as money. Shop elsewhere and save hundreds of dollars every month... no exaggeration. I don't trust their produce, deli or bakery as they have rodent exterminators at the store on West 41st often, meaning the rodents can eat at whatever is exposed. The produce is covered overnight. My opinion is that rats or mice could slip under the covering and into the fruit and vegetables, chewing and pooping. Rodents have an ability to climb, jump and get into food storage areas and in my opinion that includes the store's deli and bakery. I got fed up with what I consider to be the poorly managed areas inside and outside of the store on West 41st Vancouver and have boycotted it. I have already saved about $300 in a few weeks by shopping at independent fruit and vegetable stores and by shopping at another grocery chain. - November 2013

  This is a nice supermarket. They have a good selection of pasta, but it is not that cheap. The other thing they have that I really like is the deli. You can get sandwich here for only $2 if you buy meat cheese and bread.

  Prices are noticeably higher than most of the other grocery stores in the area. Plus the customer service is often lacking. Have no plans on going back to the 41st location after a cashier (Aron) started argument over 10 cents of bottle returns that every other store I've been to accepts.
