  I've been here a couple times now. There's good ambience and the service is friendly. They have a great selection of interesting cocktails. I had the veggie paella skillet. The presentation was outstanding - it certainly looked delicious, however the flavour left something to be desired and I found myself asking to for hot sauce to counter the blandness. I fear this is yet another case of not knowing how to add flavour without meat. The waffles are decent and the dipping sauces are interesting, but they are reheated and you can definitely taste the difference. You're better off going down the street to Nero, where they make them fresh. All in all, for the price, I would expect more.

  This is a truly outstanding place. I was by myself visiting Vancouver so I got a seat at the bar, where the staff was very prompt and helpful, giving me several suggestions about what and how much to order. In the end, I got two small waffles with dark chocolate and fig orange marmalade toppings, followed by a delicious fricassee, all accompanied by a Jamaiquita Lemonade. Everything tasted incredibly good and I will definitely stop by Medina in my next visit to Vancouver.

  I came here once a while ago on a Sunday.... The location is great and I also liked the decor. But over all I wasn't very pleased. FIrst of all, we waited forever to get a table. Then the service was just decent, not very friendly. We had the lavender chocolate, which is actually pretty tasty. I can't remember what I ordered as main course, but it was brunch, eggs with potatoes... I didn't notice while eating, but felt sick couple hours later. It didn't seem to be cooked properly. I am easy to please usually but wouldn't go back there again.... definitely had better breakfast before, less pricey and less wait!

  Great service. If you're coming as a group you should definitely get a few dishes and share them so that you can get a taste of everything. The waffles were out of this world, get the white chocolate rosewater sauce. I prefer the vegetarian mushroom fricassee over the beef brisket one. The paella is good but only get it if you're sharing as it can be overpowering on its own. The salmon fume was great too, but very small - two bites.
